Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico. She's an American-Mexican actor. She also sings. Her mother raised her within the USA she was subject to many racial slurs and made her feel being unwanted. It was in her ninth grade when she began to gain confidence following her acclaim during an audition. This not only increased her confidence but her ambitions transformed. In 1992, she received her diploma from the New York's Julliard School. When she was 23, her first Broadway appearance in Paul Simon's The Capeman, and her film debut You've Got Mail were both major breakthroughs. The character of The Lad of The Lake became her biggest breakthrough, bringing an award for her performance, an award called the Tony Award in addition to critical acclaim for her role. In the following year, when she was Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy for ABC her role was given greater recognition. She is also a known performer and has produced an extended show. As an activist, she is a tireless advocate to promote LGBT equality.
