Zoe-perry
Perry is born the 25th of July 1968 in Chicago, Illinois to Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. The role of Jackie Harris was played by her mother in both her two appearances on Roseanne. Because of their fear of stress, the parents were not keen to let performing before turning 18. Perry confessed that she wasn't confident in her acting during high school, but started acting to meet new people in Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Perry went on to New York, where she got small roles on shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Home sickiness caused Perry her back home California which was where theatre jobs were readily available. Perry was a part of Broadway in The Other Place with her mother in 2013. Perry was in the show with their father Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in 2015 in The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry appeared in nine episodes of the ABC thriller The Family in 2016. Perry was a regular character in the ABC political drama Scandal that starred her dad. She also played the younger Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon - an CBS spin-off of The Big Bang Theory. Despite her family link to the character she received the role through an audition.
