Lita Rossana Ford often referred to as Lita Ford is a British American guitarist vocalist and songwriter who served as the lead guitarist of the all-girl hard rock band The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their punkish sound and rebellious lyrics helped them get noticed throughout the world of rock. Though the group didn't make much progress in America but they enjoyed huge popularity overseas. This was especially true in Japan. Ford had a long and successful career as a solo heavy metal musician after the group broke up from 1979. In 1995, she released "Black" and fifteen years later , 'Wicked Wonderland. Her most recent album "Time Capsule," launched in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine has awarded her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
